John Mayer's new single, "Paper Doll," was released last night, and it features Joanna Rohrback "Prancercising" along a suburban street.

But the song's lyrics appear to be directed at his former beau, Taylor Swift, which does not make his on-again, off-again, on-again love, Katy Perry, very happy.

A few weeks ago the internet was abuzz over a new exercise trend-turned-viral-video called Prancercise®.

Created by Johanna Rohrback, Prancercise® is defined on the official website as "a springy, rhythmic way of moving forward, similar to a horse's gait and ideally induced by elation."

John Mayer is a fan of Prancercise, and included Rohrback in his new video for the single, "Paper Doll."

Mayer never appears in the new video and lets Rohrback introduce the clip where she is prancercising down an unknown suburban street as Mayer's music plays and his lyrics drift across the screen.

It's those lyrics that have called Mayer's former girlfriend, Taylor Swift, into the spotlight.

Swift released the song, unambiguously about her time with Mayer, called "Dear John."

Mayer was notoriously finicky about Swift's song, telling Rolling Stone it "humuliated me." He even chastised Swift for releasing such an overt song about a personal relationship, feeling it was tacky.

But the repeated use of the color red in the song, plus the line, "you're like 22 girls one," show that Mayer isn't above more covert digs at his former paramour.

Swift has a song called "22," and her 2012 album was called "Red."

Not to be outdone, Katy Perry recently revealed to Vogue Magazine that she was "madly in love with him [Mayer] still," despite the on-off relationship.

So the fact that Mayer wrote and released a song (ostensibly for his new album, due out August 13th) about Taylor Swift, has to leave Katy Perry fuming. 

We're pretty sure Mayer will likely write a song about Perry soon too, since they've been hooking up in and out of the eyes of the paparazzi for months now, but right now Perry is probably pissed.
