In an interview with F&F CEO, he gave his reaction when UNIS & Filipino contestant Elisia was crowned as No. 1 in SBS's audition reality show, "Universe Ticket."
On March 22, the K-media outlet E-Daily released the written interview it had with F&F CEO Choi Jae Woo, who was also the person who produced the the successful SBS girl group survival show, "Universe Ticket."
During the conversation between the media and producer Choi held at the F&F Entertainment headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, the latter answered various questions related to the show and debut of its new girl group, UNIS.
F&F CEO Shares Thoughts on Elisia Ranking #1 in 'Universe Ticket,' First Filipina to Do So
In particular, the interview mentioned how Elisia, a "Universe Ticket" contestant from the Philippines topped the contest, making the history as the first Filipina to rank No.1 in a South Korean audition & survival show.
As a result, she is expected to debut in the upcoming girl group, UNIS.
Regarding this CEO Choi confessed that he also didn't expect it, saying:
"It was unexpected and a surprising thing for me as well."

However, the CEO expressed his strong confidence that Elisia will win a spot in the competition, describing the idol:
"Basically, Elisia was a contestant with excellent singing and dancing skills. I'm very confident (that she will win) as her popularity increased as she gained attention."
F&F CEO Choi also commended Elisia for not only having a strong fanbase in the Philippines but also in South Korea, saying:
"I think the fact that she has a strong fan base not only in the Philippines but also in Korea was a factor in her rise to first place.”
UNIS to Officially Debut With 1st Mini Album on March 27
Meanwhile, UNIS, the rookie girl group to which Elisia belongs will have its much-awaited debut on March 27, under F&F Entertainment.
They are set to release its first mini-album, "WE UNIS," which comprised five songs including the title track, "SUPERWOMAN," and b-sidetracks, "Butterfly's Dream," "Whatchu Need," "Dopamine" and "Dream of Girls."
During their 2-year and 6-month contract & promotion as a group, UNIS aims to strive its popularity mainly in South Korea.
The group also hinted at global expansion especially in Japan, the hometown of members Nana and Kotoko, as well as in the Philippines, the country of members Elisia and Gehlee Dangca.
With the help of English-speaking members from the Philippines, Elisia and Gehlee, UNIS also wants to spread its fandom in the North America.
F&F CEO then announced that if UNIS will win the "Rookie of the Year" award, they are considering extending the group's contract for two more years.
