Paula Deen Admits To Being Racist: Using The N-Word And Asking Black Employees To Act Like Slaves Revealed In Deposition

Celebrity chef Paula Deen and brother Bubba Hiers have revealed a series of racist indiscretions in a lawsuit deposition, including using the N-word and asking African American employees to act like slaves for wedding she was planning.

According to FOX News, Paula is being sued by a former manager of her Oyster House restaurant in Georgia, Lisa Jackson. The May 17 deposition was part of an ongoing case of a $1.2 million lawsuit in which Jackson accused Deen of using the N-word and Hiers of sexually harassing her.

When asked if Deen has ever used the N-word, she promptly replied, "Yes, of course."

"It's just what they are, they're jokes...most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks...I can't determine what offends another person."

In addition, Jackson also accused Deen of wanting her black employees to act like slaves for a big wedding. Deen was reportedly impressed by a restaurant where "the whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie."

"I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America...after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War... It was not only black men, it was black women...I would say they were slaves."

Since the deposition, Paula's representation issued a statement saying "Ms. Deen does not condone or find the use of racial epithets acceptable. She is looking forward to her day in court."

Incidentally, Paula is also being honored with a proposed museum in Georgia. The museum will reportedly feature some of the chef's home furniture, a retail store, and a cooking area.

According to NBC, the museum is expected to open around the holidays.
