Sonic Games To Get Extensive Campaign From Sega; Sony PlayStation Sells 9 Sonic Titles For One Amazing Price

Sonic games will be getting a more widespread campaign from Sega America And Sega Europe.

Licensing website reported that Sega will be launching leveled-up campaigns and promotions for the Sonic the Hedgehog games. There will be new games, new merchandise and new promotional partners to support the latest marketing effort for Sonic games.

Reports are saying that Sega will be using the Licensing Expo 2013 to unveil the foundation of their promotional and licensing program to strengthen sales of Sonic games. Sega is reportedly looking into building its existing portfolio and focus on various key categories like bed and bath, toys, amusement, food and beverage.

Included in Sega's promotional strategy is to enlarge the scope of its brand into new territories, casting the Sonic the Hedgehog image in new merchandising products and consumer facing events. The campaign for Sonic games starts with Latin America.

This marketing push follows the recent confirmation that there will be new three exclusive Sonic game titles for Nintendo. The first one to launch, Sonic Lost World for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will be coming later this year.

"2014 is going to be a significant year for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise that will take out loveable blue hero to new heights," the president and COO of Sega America, John Cheng, stated.
