'50 Shades of Grey' Movie Director Real Life 'Mrs. Robinson'

The new director of adapted E.L. James blockbuster book series, 50 Shades of Grey, is also married to a man who is half her age.

The 46-year-old Sam Taylor-Johnson married the 23-year-old Aaron Johnson in June of 2012, after getting engaged in October 2009, at the premiere of the film she directed and Johnson starred in, Nowhere Boy about a teenage John Lennon.

At the time of the filming where Taylor-Johnson, or professionally Taylor-Wood, first met Aaron Johnson, he was just 18-years-old, and she was 41-years-old and already had two kids with her former husband, art dealer Jay Jopling.

They had two children, Wylda Rae, 2, and Romy Hero, 1, before they got married, and—at least for Wylda Rae—Johnson fathered her before he could legally drink alcohol in the United States.

Aaron Johnson is also the stepfather to Taylor-Wood's two children--the youngest of whom, Angelica, is only seven years younger than Johnson, after being born in 1997--from her previous marriage to Jopling.

They are basically Mrs. Robinson come to life, with Johnson helping Taylor-Wood with Nowhere Boy, for which she was nominated, but lost a BAFTA to Duncan Jones in 2010.

We're not sure if E.L. James selected Taylor-Wood to direct the BDSM-heavy 50 Shades of Grey movie because she's had such a public affair with so many years separating her and now-husband, Aaron Johnson, but it makes sense.

Christian, the male lead in the books, is older than the the young narrator, Anastasia. But it's nothing like what the real-life Taylor-Wood has experienced over the last five years with Johnson.

But if you're wondering about her ability to direct such an explicit film adapted from one of the most successful book trilogies of all time, look no further than her former paramour, artist Henry Bond, or the "The Daydream" short movie she filmed in 2011.

The Daydream is a short movie produced to launch the new 24:7 gold collection by Solange Azagury-Partridge.

Under the direction of Sam Taylor-Wood, Liberty Ross plays a beautiful woman in her bedroom. Alone. Dreaming but with her jewelry. Her fictional lover, played by J.J. Field, joins her on the bed and they begin to passionately play with one another.

The new 50 Shades of Grey movie director is a real life Mrs. Robinson. We're excited.

Here's the 50 Shades of Grey movie director with her husband in 2010 at the BAFTA awards, when he was 20 and she was 43.
