NCT Mark & Haechan Miss Out Taeyong's Military Send-Off Due To Flight Delays

On April 15, Taeyong officially enlisted in the military with a heartwarming send-off from his bandmates.

The "SHALALA" singer, who became the first NCT member to engage in military duties, was accompanied by Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Ten, Doyoung, Jungwoo, and Jaehyun.

Taeyong's post on his official Instagram account showed the idol flaunting his new buzz cut, while the members posed affectionately. In his caption, Taeyong assured fans of his safe return saying, "I'll be back safely! Be healthy! Let's go! Our day! I love you!"

Fans were saddened by Taeyong's departure but were assured of his return, which led to their reactions online. On social media platform X (Twitter), NCTzens wished the idol good luck on his military service and conveyed how emotional it was seeing his members send him off.

However, fans were also heartbroken because of how Mark and Haechan missed out on the send-off. According to fans, the two NCT members took the earliest flight from Shanghai to Busan, but unfortunately, the flight was delayed due to rain.

They also pointed out how Mark and Haechan comforted fans after learning of the unlucky incident by sending comforting words and a dance challenge of "Yacht" in TikTok.

Taeyong's enlistment was first announced on March 18, when SM Entertainment confirmed his military service. According to the agency's statement, Taeyong was scheduled to enlist on April 15, and that no separate events would be held on his enlistment day.
