A recent BBC documentary shedding light on the notorious "Burning Sun" scandal has reignited public interest in the unresolved burglary case involving the late K-Pop star, Goo Hara.

The documentary not only revisited Goo Hara's involvement in exposing the scandal but also highlighted the mysterious theft that occurred at her residence shortly after her passing.

The burglary took place on January 14, 2020, at Goo Hara's home in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, just 50 days after her untimely death in November 2019.

CCTV footage captured an unidentified individual, masked and gloved, entering the property.

The intruder, displaying a familiarity with the layout, attempted to access the house through the front door using a password before resorting to scaling a wall and entering through a second-floor balcony.

Remarkably, the burglar appeared to have precise knowledge of the house's layout, targeting Goo Hara's personal safe in her dressing room while leaving other valuables untouched.

Reports indicate that the safe contained significant items such as jewelry, investment documents, and old mobile phones. This led investigators to suspect the possibility of an inside job.

Despite a comprehensive nine-month investigation by authorities, the perpetrator remains unidentified.

Goo Hara's brother, Goo Ho In, promptly reported the incident to the police, who, despite their efforts, have yet to make any breakthroughs in the case.

Friends and acquaintances of Goo Hara speculated that the burglary might have been orchestrated by someone close to her or acting on behalf of an acquaintance, given the timing of the theft, occurring shortly after a memorial service for the late star.
