Xbox One Price And Release Date: Xbox One Beats Playstation 4 In Amazon Video Game Bestseller Chart, Microsoft Reverses Used Game Restrictions, Online Check-Ins

Xbox One is currently the second best selling item in Amazon's video game section, beating the Playstation 4, after Microsoft announced it would reverse used game restrictions and daily online check-ins, the Market for Computer and Video Games reports.

"As a result of feedback from the Xbox community, we have changed certain policies for Xbox One," Microsoft posted on its blog, announcing the changes.

"You told us how much you loved the flexibility you have today with games delivered on disc. The ability to lend, share, and resell these games at your discretion is of incredible importance to you. Also important to you is the freedom to play offline, for any length of time, anywhere in the world," the post continued.

"So, today I am announcing the following changes to Xbox One and how you can play, share, lend, and resell your games exactly as you do today on Xbox 360."

Microsoft's announcement in changes to the Xbox One improved the console's marketability for gamers as the video game console fell behind Sony's PS3 game "The Last of Us" in Amazon's best sellers, placing them ahead of the PS4 in third place.

The highest ranked next-generation game is "Watch Dogs" on PS4 in eighth place followed by the Xbox One version of "Call of Duty Ghosts" in 13th place, according to the Market for Computer and Video Games.

There is only one Xbox One SKU on the Amazon bestseller chart while there are five distinct PS4 bundles in the preorder charts.
