SEVENTEEN's 9th Anniversary Livestream Gets Cut Off Abruptly — And CARATs Are Seething in Anger

Here's what happened to SEVENTEEN's live broadcast.

On May 26, SEVENTEEN held a livestream to celebrate their 9th debut anniversary and express their gratitude to the CARAT fandom for the unconditional support and love the group has received throughout the years.

Despite the occasion being a special day for SEVENTEEN and CARATs, fans were disappointed with the broadcast's mood. They also mentioned specific issues such as the staff frequently monitoring the members, the live getting shut down abruptly, and eventually deleted.

CARATs then speculated that one of the reasons for the livestream's deletion was due to member Hoshi hinting at a spoiler. However, they also expressed frustration over the reason why the management had to delete the broadcast entirely.

"SEVENTEEN's 9th Anniversary Live Problems.

  • I keep noticing that the kids are being monitored every time they speak.
  • The live was suddenly turned off without further notice.
  • As if shutting it down wasn't enough, they also had to delete it (I'll wait and see, PLEDIS), who are you bas**rds? You can see that they still wanted to do the live even though they're tired, but why are you kidding me like this?"

"Can this be called an agency when they don't even show basic courtesy towards artists and fans?"

"PLEDIS hasn't changed much from before and now. But in a way, it's really consistent."

"This is really ridiculous lol. Are you crazy about deleting the live? PLEDIS, why are you doing this? I think deleted the live because Hoshi spoiled something. At this point, why don't you delete all the videos containing spoilers then?

Did they spoil it once or twice? It was already going to come out in about 20 minutes anyway, so what's wrong with spoiling it? The kids can even give bigger spoilers, so why aren't you still used to it?"

However, CARATs eventually ended the day with good memories, as some fans claimed that the live broadcast was restored online.

"SEVENTEEN's 9th anniversary live was deleted at first, but now it has been restored! The ending part that was omitted was added and they uploaded it again. I love you too!"

In other news, SEVENTEEN achieved an accomplishment with their newest and first best-of album "17 IS RIGHT HERE," which was released on April 29. Hanteo eventually announced that from April 29 to May 5, the album successfully sold over 2,967,937 album copies in its first week.

Adding to this feat, the album reigned over the Oricon Daily Album chart in Japan, as well as the Top 100 Albums Chart in LINE. "17 IS RIGHT HERE" also claimed No. 2 on the Worldwide Albums Chart on iTunes.

On April 22, "17 IS RIGHT HERE" managed to garner a total of 3,087,613 stock pre-orders, which emphasized the immense anticipation for SEVENTEEN's comeback.
