No one else was involved in the accident, but the incident further tarnished his reputation.

The following year, Kangin faced allegations of physical assault against his girlfriend in a bar.

Shortly after the wedding, it was announced that he would be joining Dear U. Bubble, a messaging platform popular among K-pop fans for its direct communication with idols.

This move is seen as his first step back into the entertainment industry. The reactions to Kangin's potential comeback have been mixed.

While some fans are eager to welcome him back, recalling his contributions to Super Junior's success, others remain critical, citing his past misdemeanors and questioning the appropriateness of his return.

Leeteuk, the leader of Super Junior, lightly addressed it during the ceremony, urging the public to allow Kangin a chance to redeem himself.

"He has been reflecting on his actions for many years, Everyone deserves a second chance."
