ENHYPEN's recent tour profits have ignited a wave of anger among fans, directed at their managing company, BELIFT LAB. According to a Billboard report, ENHYPEN ranked at number 34 in the top tours, generating an impressive $35.5 million USD from 18 shows with nearly 200,000 attendees.
These figures, recently corroborated by KBS News, highlight the group's substantial earnings from their concerts. The KBS report detailed that ENHYPEN's concert sales reached ₩49.0 billion KRW (approximately $35.7 million USD), aligning closely with Billboard's findings.
However, when a Korean netizen shared these figures on social media, it sparked widespread dissatisfaction among fans. The frustration centers around BELIFT LAB's apparent lack of reinvestment into the group despite their lucrative tour earnings.
Fans have voiced concerns over the perceived "low budget" production quality of the group's projects. Many pointed to the "Sweet Venom" music video used in the KBS report as an example, criticizing its production value.
Additionally, fans expressed discontent over ENHYPEN's grueling schedule, which they feel is not matched by adequate rewards or improvements from the company.
One fan summed up the sentiment: "Drag that company through the mud... They earn millions but give back nothing to the group."
Recently, ENHYPEN has earned the "double million seller" title with the release of their mini-album "MANIFESTO: DAY 1." The album sold 768,603 copies on its first day and surpassed one million sales within two days, making it their first album to achieve this milestone in its first week.
This achievement, combined with their previous album "DIMENSION: DILEMMA," which also sold over a million copies, makes ENHYPEN the first fourth-generation K-pop group to have two albums sell over a million copies on the Hanteo Chart.
Additionally, "MANIFESTO: DAY 1" reached the top of iTunes charts in at least 17 countries. ENHYPEN's rapid success, just a year and a half after their debut, underscores their significant impact in the K-pop industry.
