In a fandom-communicating app, a rookie idol cried for help after hinting at the intensifying "conflict" between his co-members and agency.
On June 12, n.SSign Eddie took to the app Fromm to give his fans a heads-up about what is really happening behind the team and company.
The group was first introduced to the music scene in August 2023 with their EP, "Birth of Cosmo."
Prior to that, the members became known among fans after joining the survival program, "Stars Awakening" in 2022, to which the seven members were selected to form n.SSIgn in addition to three new faces.
Since then, they actively promoted through music shows and other music content, their most recent release being their 2nd mini-album, "Happy &," in February 2024.
However, their promotion as rookies didn't go as smoothly as wanted because just before their official debut, member Hyun went on a hiatus in July 2023, while Doha also asked to sit down on their second album activities, the group failed to promote as a 10-member group since their launch.
Their supporters also pointed out a mistreatment of the group, sparking concerns if what is the real situation of the members under their label, n.CH Entertainment.
Just then, member Eddie finally exploded and hinted at fans about their unbearable situation, drawing attention with his words:
"I can't take this anymore."
As if reaching his limit after being silenced for a long time, he continued:
"I'm done. You guys deserve (to know) the truth. I'm taking my own health into consideration from now on. Whatever happens from now, I hope you all understand that this has been long awaited. I've been silent and patient."
Eddie then implied that contrary to what kind of relationship they are showing in public, or at least what the company wants them to portray, he refuted that n.SSign "isn't a team, never was, nor did they treat each other like a family.
Eddie showed a sense of giving up on his co-members and added:
I've had it with them. I'm sorry to tell you this way, but I'm done."
He also hinted at his frustration with his label, finally saying:
"This place, and the people. None of this is genuine."
When this issue reached K-pop fans even outside the n.SSign fandom, Cosmos, showed support for Eddie and called for the attention of larger fandoms to make this matter reach a larger audience.
Cosmos then sympathized with the male idol, acknowledging that they had been overworked since their pre-debut days, causing the members frequent hiatus due to health issues.
Eddie also talked about this a couple of times, but due to the strict contract that he is tied to, he doesn't have any choice but to proceed with his schedule without a break.
"I'm tired, mentally and physically. This has been so hard. I don't know what to do."
He has also been hinting that the group has a bad relationship, revealing before that there is no one that he could talk to despite living in an accommodation with 9 other co-members.
Currently, the messages were deleted and n.CH Entertainment is yet to address this issue.
