PENTAGON Hongseok Addresses Why He Can't Talk About Yanan + Update About Yuto

In his recent Instagram Stories, Hongseok left K-pop fans confused after addressing PENTAGON's relationship with Yanan and Yuto.

After the members left Cube Entertainment (excluding Hui, Jinho and Shinwon), K-pop fans have been concerned about what will happen to the group, raising disbandment rumors.

In response to this, the members have been consistent in affirming the Universe (PENTAGON fandom) that they will continue to be a group, while also focusing on their respective solo endeavors and activities.

While PENTAGON is still a group, fans remain concerned after Yanan, who went back to China and continued his career there, seemingly expresses hinting no desire to return to Korea.

It was also revealed that Yuto, their Japanese member, returned to his home country to start anew, but a part of it is blocking everyone including his co-members.

In a recent "Ask Me Anything" session on Instagram with Hongseok, he tried to answer questions about members that the Universe is curious about.

Hongseok briefly updated about Yuto when asked if the latter already unblocked him, but his answer was:

"Nope."

However, fans who saw this clarified to non-fans that it doesn't signify that the members are on bad terms. Earlier this year, Yuto talked about his PENTAGON co-members being supportive of the path he's taking.

Then, one fan asked Hongseok to talk about Yanan, who has been gaining hate from the fandom for allegedly choosing his career in China over his group activities.

There are fans who then defended him and emphasized how he was badly treated under Cube over the years, making him choose to continue his career in his own country.

Hongseok then said:

"I wish I could honestly talk about Yanan. But I am concerned about how other members (would) think of him. It's not easy for me to personally talk about Yanan because whatever I say will make our fans take sides. Please understand!"

With this statement, fans were surprised that all the years, they thought Cube was the one stopping them from talking about the member. It turned out that the members themselves are being careful to avoid in-fightings of their fans, as well as to avoid hurting the members.

When the X post spread online, Universe then called out the author for misleading non-fans and said that PENTAGON is doing fine.

In fact, the members also revealed that they are planning to reunite within the year.
