HyunA's marriage news with Yong Junhyung has stormed social media and online communities.

On July 8, Korean news outlet YTN released an exclusive report sharing that HyunA and Yong Junhyung will eventually tie the knot on October 11. According to sources, the information was claimed by industry insiders, and that the pair has decided to settle down.

Industry insiders also shared a brief statement regarding the news and expressed support for the pair's marriage. "They have been friends for a long time and they understand the hardships in the entertainment industry," an insider stated. "They have strong trust and empathy for each other."

It added, "After they became a couple, they decided to get married due to the confidence they have for their love."

Earlier on January 18, the couple confirmed their relationship by uploading similar photos showing them holding hands together on a beach.

The reveal sparked divided reactions among netizens, as some supported the pair, while others criticized the two due to Yong Junhyung's controversial involvement in the infamous 2019 Burning Sun scandal.  

Following the viral marriage news that circulated on the internet, Yong Junhyung's agency BLACK MADE released a brief comment regarding the matter. The agency shared that they are currently confirming the facts. "We will clarify our stand after confirming the news," it stated.

Meanwhile, some reported that both sides are currently working to verify the facts.

Netizens were divided in their reactions to the reveal. On the same day (July 8), K-pop stans gathered in a forum to give their responses to the news. In the thread, the majority expressed disbelief and shock at the marriage.
