Manhwa fans and K-pop fans, rejoice! In the second half of 2024, fans of THESE popular Webtoon characters will finally meet them in 3D as virtual K-pop idols!

On July 11, Oort Entertainment announced that the world's first virtual idol group to utilize Webtoon IP will finally debut in the second half of 2024!

Oort Boys' creation is just like the usual idol trainee system, wherein they went through rigorous fan verification prior to their debut, no less than the actual formation & preparation of a K-pop idol group.

They started their pre-debut activities last year, to which five members were originally introduced including Seo Tale, Do Minseong, Nithan, Frederic and Ma Daehyeop (former member).

Through YouTube, the virtual idols conduct live streams at least once a week from February to April 2024 as part of their monthly evaluation project.

Here, the members who are represented by real humans using AI technology would have vocal and dance performances. Through this, fans can actively participate in the direction of Oort Boys activities moving forward.

Regarding the members, four excluding Seo Tale are existing Webtoon characters who used their actual manhwa names and faces to form the boy group. All four members have unique stories and personalities, attracting fans who both love manhwas and K-pop.

Here are the members of Oort Boys:

Ma Daehyeop

The first member of Oort Boys, Ma is the second male lead of the Webtoon, "Lethal Romance." He has gray hair and orange eyes.

Prior to their official debut, Oort Entertainment announced that Daehyeop would no longer debut with the members due to his health issues.

As a result, Oort Boys who was originally OT5 became a quartet.

Do Minseong

Minseong is the second member of Oort Boys and he came from the Webtoon, "July Blue." His distinctive design element is his tear mole and black eyes.

Seo Tale
