Former idol and singer Nam Taehyun has addressed accusations of dating violence and revenge porn brought against him by his former girlfriend and influencer, Seo Eun Woo (formerly Seo Min Jae).

Nam took to Instagram on July 10 to release a detailed statement refuting the allegations. He claimed that Seo had taken incidents out of context and neglected to mention her own faults.

Nam described the incidents as "personal matters that occurred between lovers 2-3 years ago," emphasizing that they were typical arguments between romantic partners that never escalated to assault. He expressed his reluctance to make the details of their past relationship more public.

"I don't know what else she would write about our difficult past from her own perspective, but I will not be making any revelations or responses about my relationship with her. I'm full of regret and reflection, enduring life day by day. And I believe that holding myself back is also a step toward betterment." - Nam Taehyun

Nam concluded his post by wishing happiness and peace for Seo. Nam's response follows recent allegations by Seo Eun Woo, where she accused him of threatening her with revenge porn. In 2022, Seo had previously accused Nam of drug abuse and assault, leading to investigations by the police.

Seo was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a two-year probation for violating the Narcotic Control Act, while Nam received a one-year prison sentence with two years of probation.

Meanwhile, reporter Lee Jin Ho revealed the alleged real reason behind Nam Tae Hyun's departure from WINNER and YG Entertainment amid drug use speculations.

Nam Tae Hyun claimed he left due to psychological health issues, but Lee argued he was actually kicked out because his behavior was intolerable for YG.

Allegations include bringing his girlfriend to WINNER's accommodation and his difficult personality. Post-departure, Nam Tae Hyun faced multiple controversies, including drug use and physical abuse allegations made by his girlfriend, Seo Min Jae, which she later retracted.
