On the July 11 episode of Kim Jaejoong's YouTube show 'Jaefriends', (G)I-DLE member Minnie candidly addressed rumors surrounding her background, revealing surprising details about her family's wealth and status.

During their conversation, Jaejoong, known for his hospitality, treated Minnie to homemade kimchijjim while they discussed (G)I-DLE's successful career and their latest album.

As the conversation delved deeper, Jaejoong inquired about Minnie's residence in Thailand, to which Minnie clarified:

"No, I live with my parents."

The conversation took a surprising turn when the production team shared photos of Minnie's family property, previously noted for its opulent interior. Jaejoong was visibly taken aback upon seeing images of a lavish pool and home fitness center.

Minnie quickly corrected the misconception, explaining, "The pool isn't at my house. That's actually from the hotel."

Jaejoong, clearly amused, reacted with astonishment, exclaiming, "Oh, your grandmother owns a hotel? You really are a Thai princess!"

Later in the show, Jaejoong brought up Minnie's stunning appearance at the Songkran Festival in Thailand, where she donned traditional royal attire.

Minnie revealed, "Those clothes were worn by the royal family long ago. The entire outfit costs over 1 billion KRW (727,003 USD), made entirely of real gold and diamonds. It was extremely heavy, so I had to maintain an upright position the whole time."

Reflecting on the festival, Minnie shared, "My parents were incredibly proud. They were beaming all day. Many top actors and actresses were present, and I stood proudly among them."

Recently, (G)I-DLE's Minnie gained attention for her wealthy family background after a reality show teaser showcased her family's house in Thailand. The episode revealed the luxurious and antique-filled home, highlighting Minnie's status as a 'Thai Princess.' Fans were impressed by the opulent interior and historical relics.

Minnie's family, part of Thailand's high society, includes influential figures like her grandparents, who run a luxury resort, her uncle, a classical pianist, and her father, the president of Bangkok's YMCA Group.

Minnie's 'Thai Princess' nickname is reinforced by her royal lineage through her aunt, a descendant of the last king of Lanna. The group's upcoming EP, 'I Love,' is set to be released on October 17.
