SM Entertainment has announced that Karina, a member of the popular K-pop group aespa, will not be participating in the remaining dates of their '2024 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : PARALLEL LINE - in JAPAN'.

The decision comes after the artist's recent health struggles.

In a statement released today, SM Entertainment explained that Karina was unable to perform at the Osaka concert on July 28 due to health issues.

Following extensive consultations with medical professionals, it has been determined that she needs additional rest to fully recover.

"Karina was absent from the Osaka concert on the 28th due to poor health condition, and after a long consultation, we decided that she will not participate in the Fukuoka shows according to advice from the medical staff that Karina has not fully recovered and she needs some rest for stability and recovery".

As a result, Karina will miss the shows scheduled for July 30 and 31 at Marine Messe Fukuoka B Hall.

"Karina's well-being is our top priority. After careful consideration and medical advice, we have decided that it is best for her to take some time off to ensure a complete recovery. We sincerely apologize to our fans who were looking forward to seeing her perform and appreciate your understanding during this time."

The remaining members of aespa-Giselle, Winter, and NingNing-will proceed with the Fukuoka concerts as planned.

SM Entertainment reassured fans that they are committed to delivering a memorable performance despite Karina's absence.

The tour, which promotes aespa's recently released Japanese debut single "Hot Mess," has been a significant event for the group, drawing enthusiastic crowds across Japan.

Fans have been vocal about their support for Karina, sending well-wishes and hoping for her swift recovery.
