On August 15, Felix apologized for his actions according to Korean news outlet Xports News. The Stray Kids member first apologized to fans, and everyone affected by the issue, before recalling the Bubble incident that caused outrage in the K-pop community.
Felix shared that he is currently reflecting on his lack of history knowledge. The idol also promised to educate himself further and that he would act more carefully to prevent similar incidents in the future. Read his full statement below:

First of all, I would like to apologize to everyone, including my fans, who may have been disappointed by my careless actions.
During the early hours of August 15, I mentioned a Japanese song while discussing a short-form challenge with my fans in a personal communication platform.
I sincerely apologize for my lack of prudence and carelessness on this meaningful Independence Day.

In other news, Felix was criticized for showing a can of Coca-Cola in a live broadcast. The instance was caught by netizens, causing a ruckus online. After seeing their reactions, Felix immediately addressed the matter and apologized to fans.
