'Not Official'? BLACKPINK Jennie's Label Clarifies Misunderstanding on Her Solo Fandom Name

As she gears for her much-anticipated solo comeback, BLACKPINK Jennie launched a countdown to her official return, alongside a voice message. However, her label Odd Atelier quickly released a statement to clarify a misunderstanding regarding Jennie's presumed solo fandom name.

On September 18, Jennie gave her fans a shout-out through a voice note, which also revealed her supposed solo fandom title. In the message, the BLACKPINK singer can be heard, saying, "Hi, Rubies! It's Jennie. Stay tuned, and see you soon. Love you. Bye!"

Following this, her fans quickly speculated that Rubies is their official fandom name. The designation is also most likely taken from Jennie's acting alias Jennie Ruby Jane.

Recalling, the idol used this stage name when she headlined the HBO show "The Idol" in 2023, alongside Lily Rose-Depp.

However, inquiries arose as Jennie's Rubies overlaps with the official name for Kwon Eun Bi's fans, which is RUBI. Odd Atelier, Jennie's label, immediately spoke out and cleared the confusion.

"Jennie was just using the term 'Rubies' to address her fans in a news update, and this was not an official announcement of her fandom name," said OA.

BLACKPINK Jennie is slated to make her solo return in October after she signed a deal with Columbia Records, under Sony Music Entertainment, home to Beyoncé and Adele.
