Following a hiatus for about four years, Jung Ilhoon made his first live broadcast and updated fans about his future career plan.
Former BTOB Ilhoon who disappeared from the music scene in 2020 is now back with various activities scheduled ahead for his remaining loyal supporters.
From Oct. 4th to 6th, he launched his first art exhibition, "Tiny Ark" held in Seongsu-dong in Seoul. The artworks displayed were created during his self-reflection in the past years.

On Oct. 7th then, Ilhoon personally greeted all his fans through an Instagram live broadcast and despite visible awkwardness, the viewers made him feel loved, building a comfortable space for him to open up about his feelings.
When asked if his painting hints at his career shift, the male idol clarified that he started doing it as a hobby, and rather than a new job, he sees it as an inspiration to create music.
Painting also conditions him to think and act positively, on top of sharing his values and tastes with everyone in a creative way.

Delving deeper about his comeback as a solo artist, Ilhoon teased fans about his new music coming this year. In fact, he even left "easter eggs" related to his new songs during his art exhibition, raising more anticipation from fans.

Meanwhile, the male idol left BTOB in 2020 after he was investigated by the police on charges of illegal purchase and use of cannabis. According to the police, it happened from July 2015 to January 2019.

He served a three-year suspended sentence with a two-year prison term, as well as 40-hour participation in a drug treatment program. Jung also paid a fine of about $94k.
Following the trial, he continued his military enlistment until February 2022 and remained behind the limelight before hinting at his return this year.
