What's scarier than Halloween? These K-pop idols will most likely answer "sasaengs." After all, they experienced the most terrifying incidents from these so-called "fans."
In popular culture, a "sasaeng" is referred to as "obsessive fans," who would go as far as stalking and threatening their favorite idols to get their attention.
Some of their creepy acts include stealing artists' personal contacts, following them in their hotels, and riding the same airplanes as their ults.
However, these ridiculous actions became dangerous and worth sending them to jail for crossing the line by harming their idols.

From Changmin's stalk-taxi driver to Jaejoong's house being invaded by a fan — TVXQ is a group with the most notorious sasaengs in K-pop's history.
Among the numerous incidents they suffered, Yunho had the most petrifying encounter with an anti-fan, a sasaeng of another group. During an event, the K-pop icon received an orange juice as a gift and drank it.
Little did he know, it was poisoned with super glue, which led him to be hospitalized and form a trauma of drinking juice for a while.
Baby V.O.X Yoon Eun Hye Almost Went Blind
In 2000, Baby V.O.X-turned-actress Yoon Eun Hye almost became blind when a male sasaeng attacked her with a water gun filled with vinegar soy sauce, and (rumored) red pepper.
She was rushed to the hospital and the doctor told her that it affected her cornea.
The frustrating part? The anti-fan was able to walk free and didn't receive any punishment as Eun Hye kindly decided not to report it to the police.
SNSD Taeyeon's Attempted Abduction
In 2011, Girls' Generation was performing on stage when a man suddenly went up and forcibly grabbed Taeyeon. While she resisted, the sasaeng was able to pull her up to the stairs.
Fortunately, Sunny bravely held Taeyeon until comedian Oh Jung Tae and the authorities came to stop the man.
Like Eun Hye, the SNSD leader also didn't press any charges.
TWICE Nayeon Threatened, Stalked by Delusional Sasaeng
Another idol with the scariest moment with a sasaeng was Nayeon.
Infamous for his alias Josh, he didn't claim to be a fan but the "boyfriend" of the TWICE member. He would follow the star at airports, and dormitory and would wait for her outside JYP Entertainment.
When the label took action against him, he returned to Germany but continued to threaten Nayeon that he would unalive her if she would be dating another guy other than him.
BTS Jin Amost Got Injected by Unauthorized Nurse
The most recent spine-chilling event in the K-pop scene happened to BTS Jin when he was vaccinated by an unauthorized nurse in the military in 2023.
The nurse, apparently Jin's fan, was originally stationed in the 28th division, but she purposely left her unit and traveled 30 minutes to sneak into the 5th division's training center in Yeoncheon-gun, where Jin was.
There, she was caught illegally administering a secondary vaccine against hemorrhagic fever to Jin.
