After the dating rumors of aespa Winter and ENHYPEN Jungwon circulated across the internet, the idols' respective agencies have shared their stance on the situation. However, Jungwon still faces backlash despite the debunking.
The issue started when an individual claimed that Winter and Jungwon were sighted together at a bar in Chungdam. The photos were uploaded by an X user named @SUPADUPAMY, which is an account known for exposing K-pop idols.
These rumors were instantly denied by SM Entertainment and BELIFT LAB.
SM Entertainment clarified that the speculations were baseless and that the individual who contacted a media outlet had spread the photo with the purpose of gaining profit. The individual also attempted to communicate with the company.
When the outlet refused to facilitate the exchange due to monetary-grounded tips, the individual decided to spread the photos with malicious intent.
"We will take legal action," SM stated.

"The rumors are not true," BELIFT LAB said. "We will take strong legal action against those who violate the privacy of our artists and create or spread malicious rumors."
Despite the denial, fans were upset knowing that Jungwon was still receiving backlash from other "fans" for the dating rumor. The harsh feedback also reached a thread, where a K-ENGENE's scathing message became the center of discussion.
The Weverse message read, "It's alright, Jungwon-ah, nobody knows who you are, even when you introduce yourself, no one would. So you don't need to hide yourself when you go on dates. But everyone knows your girlfriend, so please hide her when you go around!"
ENGENEs then backed up Jungwon and requested others to report any online harassment targeting the idol.
