Song Joong Ki, a father of two, gushed about his newborn daughter and upcoming film Bogota: City of the Lost, in a recent interview.
The actor was all smiles in an interview with iMBC Entertainment as he described the experience of holding his daughter for the first time, revealing that it was completely different from his son.
"I can't forget that feeling," he said.
To the reporters present, the actor shared a photo of his daughter on his cell phone.
"I think my sense of responsibility has grown even more now that the baby is born," he said.
When reporters asked how much he wanted to brag about his daughter, the actor summoned a sheepish response.
"Actually, I want to brag too much," he admitted.
"I wondered what the difference would be, but when my daughter was born, I held her in my arms differently from a boy. I can't forget that feeling. The baby is growing up healthy, and my wife is also recovering well after giving birth."
The actor also discussed learning Spanish for his role in Bogota: City of the Lost, a movie about a group of immigrants who move to the capital of Columbia as a last resort and involve themselves in dangerous deals, and speaking the language at home with his family.
"My wife and I speak Spanish in everyday life. There will come a time when the baby speaks Spanish better than me," he said.
"I don't want to fall behind at that time, so I'm going to try harder to learn Spanish."
Song and British actress Katy Louise Saunders married in 2023, with the couple welcoming their first child, a son, later that year.
