Kim Kardashian's brand Skims has netted their biggest collaborator yet with superstar Rosé as the face for their Valentine's Day launch, but the line has been met with side-eyes from fans.

BLACKPINK's Rosé, hot off the release of her solo debut rosie, in December, is certainly no stranger as a model and brand ambassador, having previously worked with luxury icons Yves Saint Laurent and Tiffany & Co.

Skims announced via Kim's Instagram, noting the big V-day campaign will go live on Thursday, January 23, at 12 PM ET.

"Her elegance and energy are unmatched, she's the ultimate Valentine for 2025. This collection is romantic, fun, and full of personality, and ROSÉ captured that beautifully," said Kim in a press statement.

The Skims founder quickly deleted the announcement tweet, however, as comments from fans flooded in criticizing her for a recent Instagram story she shared of Melania Trump at Trump's inauguration.

Criticism poured in from those who found issues with Kim's political allegiance, questioning her coziness with the Trump family.

"The girls who marry creeps stick together I wrote," wrote one commenter.

"They are cut from the exact same cloth," said another.

Rosé fans openly criticized the Kardashian, with some accusing the founder of using Rosé as a political pawn.

"Kim posting Rosé's Skims campaign today of all days, she's trying to sabotage my queen," said one commenter.

"Not Kim Kardashian using Rosé for damage control," tweeted another.

Some, despite feeling excited and proud of Rosé for landing the brand deal, expressed a desire to boycott the Kardashian brand.

"Kim Kardashian also posted Melania on Instagram yesterday by the way... I'm happy for Rosie but I'm not supporting that family," said one fan.

Others felt the criticism, especially towards Rosé, was extreme, as Kim has been open about her affiliation with the Trumps in the past.

"Yeah ok I'm not a big fan of Skims either but y'all were all gagging over Sabrina, SZA, and Lana's Skims shoots? Why the 180 when it comes to Rosé?" asked one fan.
