A third season of the popular dance competition series Street Woman Fighter has been confirmed, and fans couldn't be more excited!
In a report from Korean news outlet Newsis, Mnet confirmed that the Street Woman Fighter, which showcases the charismatic power of Korean female dance groups, will return with a third installment, two years after the sophomore season aired.
The new season, World of Street Woman Fighter, is scheduled to air in May. The dance series has mostly focused on domestic acts, with fewer international groups being included.
However, the outlet reported that World of Street Woman Fighter will increase its global scale by inviting dance groups from all over the world.
These dance groups will reportedly be from countries such as the United States, France, Japan, New Zealand, and Brazil.
Mnet also released a teaser for the upcoming show and mentioned Canada, South Africa, Argentina, the Philippines, Ghana, India, Mexico, China, and Australia.
The first season of Street Woman Fighter was released in 2021 and has since introduced dance stars such as HolyBang leader Honey J, alongside Monika and Gabee.
Gaining widespread recognition, the show has since produced other spin-off programs such as Street Man Fighter and Street Dance Girls Fighter.
In 2023, the second season of Street Woman Fighter included dance groups 1MILLION, BEBE, Jam Republic, MANNEQUEEN, TSUBAKILL, Wolf'lo, and LADYBOUNCE.
In the show's epic finale, BEBE emerged as the overall winner of the series.
