Glee Cast Cory Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room Saturday, Vancouver police said. He was 31.  Glee Cast Cory Monteith played Finn Hudson on the musical comedy show.

According to police, the cause of death was not immediately apparent, but they ruled out foul play.  An autopsy will be conducted by medical examiners.

According to CNN, Monteith's body was discovered Saturday noon by staff members at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, acting Chief Constable Doug LePard told reporters.

Few details are known about Glee Cast Cory Monteith's stay.  He checked into his room July 6.  Monteith apparently had several people over to his room at one point Friday night. However, Monteith was seen on hotel surveillance video returning to his room in the early morning hours alone.

His publicist, Melissa Kates, said: "We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss." Monteith spent time in rehab early this year, checking into a drug addiction treatment facility in April.

Cory Monteith was honest about his issues with substance abuse.  He began using drugs at 13, and by 19 went into rehab after an intervention by his mother and friends.

Monteith was on the musical comedy show since its premiere in 2009.In 2011, Monteith won a Teen Choice award for top actor in a comedy.
