Jake Owen Friend Flies ‘Anywhere With You’ Singer To Country Concert 2013, Rocks Camouflage Arm Sling, Promised Wouldn't Miss Tour Due To Hand Surgery: ‘I Won't Let Y'all Down’

Jake Owen learned a couple lessons this weekend: the "Anywhere With You" country singer shouldn't race in go karts, and it's good to have friends with planes.

"I learned one thing," Owen said, Taste of Country reports. "Number one, I will never race guys like that in go karts ever again! It's nice to have friends with planes. That's another good thing."

Owen got into a go kart accident while racing NASCAR stars Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer. He went to the emergency room, and then last Tuesday went back to the hospital for hand surgery.

"Headed in for surgery... I was trying to avoid it, but since I play guitar for a living I need to get this done," he tweeted.

"Btw..There's no way I'd miss the chance to play Country Concert 2013 or Fenway Park this weekend. I won't let y'all down," Owen promised his fans.

And keep his promise he did! He made his first post-surgery appearance at the Country Concert 2013 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio, thanks to his friend Kevin Harvick and his plane.

"[Kevin Harvick]" flew me in on his plane and he's sitting side stage right here," Owen told the Country Concert crowd as he brought the NASCAR driver on stage. "You guys say thanks to Kevin for getting me here."

In the pictures Jake tweeted from the concert, he is still rocking a camouflage arm sling. The country singer plans to use Harvick's plane to get to his next gig: The "Night Train" Tour at Fenway Park in Boston.

According to GACTV, Owen is currently a special guest on Jason Aldean's "Night Train" Tour and is planning to release a new single from his upcoming album soon.
