Call Me Maybe Singer Carly Rae Jepsen Flops First Pitch for Tampa Bay Rays [VIDEO]; Twitter reaction to singer says #Stick to your Day Job!

Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen threw the "worst ever" first pitch during a game between the Tampa Bay Rays and Houston Astros (the Rays won 5-0) in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Sunday.

Carly was wearing a #8 jersey, which she proudly posted a photo of on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.  Before she took the Tampa Bay Ray's pitchers mound, she excitedly tweeted: "This girl is throwing the first pitch!"

When she stepped onto the pitcher's mound at Tampa Bay Rays home Tropicana Field, she was barely able to get the ball airborne before before it landed and rolled past the first base line.  The ball knocked a camera out of a photographer's hand during its short flight.  Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher Matt Moore went after the ball.

Carly Rae Jepsen is most famous for her catchy song Call Me Maybe.  She has a new remix of her song Tonight I'm Getting Over You featuring Nicki Minaj.  She can now add a stint as a Tampa Bay Rays pitcher to her most famous moments.

Carly Rae Jepsen posted an Instagram photo on Twitter, saying: "A before and after.  Me taking the mound. Me knocking the camera out of the photographers hands with the baseball. And me getting a sympathy hug from the catcher. Omg."

Carly Rae Jepsen's brother Colin Jepsen sent Carly texts, which she also posted on Twitter: "Just Saw it.  May be ranked.  In sports shows top ten list." "Oh well #sticktoyourdayjob"

Carly Rae Jepsen's sister Katie Jepsen also offered the Call Me Maybe singer comfort, saying: "Look at the bright side ‪@carlyraejepsen you're the first one in the family to make it on ‪@espn ‪#loveyou"

A fan of Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen also tweeted the singer some comfort: "I have seen worse lol"
