Kanye West may yet succeed in his ambitions for a fashion line.

Fresh from the success of his album Yeezus, Kanye West is trying fashion again.  Kanye West produced a capsule collection for hip French brand APC.  Kanye West's fashion line quickly sold out.

The APC collection includes a "Hip Hop T-shirt" for $120.  Hip Hop is a broad genre of artistic forms that originated as a street subculture in the South Bronx communities during the 1970s.  Kanye West is a Hip Hop artist.

Kanye West has done a fashion line before.  The line which debuted in Paris was not received well critically.  Roben Givhan said of his 2012 collection: "Kanye West: a little Givenchy, a little Costume National. Will the real Kanye please stand up?"  However, Kanye West was able to put on a star-studded show, full of celebrities such as Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Cassie, Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley, Guiseppe Zanotti, Ricardo Tisci, Azzedine Alaia and Kim Kardashian.

Kanye West used a lot of leather and fur in his first effort, but unlike his previous fashion line, Kanye West fashion line for APC is simple - jeans and T-shirts. 

 Kanye West is also criticized for dressing his girlfriend Kim Kardashian, mother of his child North West, famous for her role on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Yeezy has certainly been busy between the birth of North West, the release of his album Yeezus, and the APC capsule collection fashion line.  Kanye West has given many interviews where he talks about his desire to master a variety of genres: "I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means" Kanye said, referring to Apple founder Steve Jobs.

"I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period. By a long jump."

"I will be the leader of a company that ends up being worth billions of dollars, because I got the answers. I understand culture. I am the nucleus."
