Royal Baby Due Date Passed, But One Royal Says She Knows

The royal baby due date has passed, but one royal family member, a well-connected one at that, says she knows the royal baby due date. And it's soon. Maybe by the end of the week.

Royal baby due date passed, it was originally estimated to be July 13 or July 14, but one royal family member seems confident she knows the royal baby due date. And she says it will be soon. So soon that the royal baby watch has the family waiting by the phone for a call. The heir-to-be's future step-grandmother, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall says she knows when we can expect Kate Middleton to give birth.

The royal baby due date is now Kate is believed to be due sometime in mid-July. The baby will be here by the end of the week.

At an event that she attended with her husband Prince Charles in Cornwall on Monday, Camilla said "We're all waiting by the end of the telephone. I think by the end of the week, he or she will be there."

According to reports, Camilla spent the weekend with her family at their home in Bucklebury. The family home is about 60 miles west of London and St. Mary's Hospital. Kate Middleton is expected to deliver her baby there.

According to livescience.com, firstborn children tend to be born late. Based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention survey data from 7,643 women and 9,148 births, a computer science professor in Massachusetts found that firstborn babies were born late 15 to 16 percent of the time. Second- and third-born children had a less than 10 percent chance of being born late. Due dates are a helpful prediction and not an exact science. A mother is not considered to be overdue unless she goes into labor two or more weeks past her due date.
