Engadget reported about an anonymous tipster who sent internal documents indicating that the Google Nexus 7 2 release date will be on July 20 as retail stores will already be receiving the tablet on the said device. A photo of the document is posted above this article. The next-generation will be sold in stores together with the current version of Nexus 7.

The particular Nexus 7 2 models discussed in the document pertains to the 32 GB version. It is not clear yet if there will be a Nexus 7 2^nd-generation model with only 16 GB capacity.

However, it would not be a surprise if the Nexus 7 2 release date will be delayed on July 24^th or even later, especially because Google Android press event is already slated to happen that day.
