Despite many rumors claiming that Samsung Galaxy S3 will be skipping the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, developers had already manage to create a custom CM ROM for the device.

If you are one of the owners of Samsung Galaxy S3 equipped with model number GT-i19300, you can now install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to your device, courtesy of a custom ROM from CyanogenMOd site, as reported by Sidh Tech.

CM10.1 is now available, making it feasible for the users to install Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to their Samsung Galaxy S3. This ROM is only compatible with the international version of Galaxy S3, the model sporting a quad core Exynos processor.

According to the report, the team from CyanogenMOd created CM10.1 ROM to provide enhancements to Google Now, bring a brand new application for the camera, and offer more lock screen features.

After installing Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update through the CM ROM, users will find new shortcuts on the lockscreen of their Samsung Galaxy S3 alongside gestures. Furthermore, support for the OpenVSM is now available. Additional options for the customized MMS, theme manager, and DSP equalizer are also made together with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean features.
