Taylor Swift is not dating Matthew Gray Gubler, despite rumors circulating that Swift has a new boyfriend.

The National Enquirer originally reported that Swift, 23, was dating Gubler, 33, who stars on the CBS hit series "Criminal Minds." Perez Hilton also suggested that Swift and Gubler had spent the Fourth of July weekend together.

However, Gossip Cop reports that a source close to singer said that the pair are "just friends."

The speculation started when Gubler and Swift posted pictures on their respective Twitter pages with the same American flag painted on their face, and similar kitchen cabinets in the background, alluding that they were at the same place or at the same party.

Gossip Cop reports that this rumor is just one of many about Swift's possible romantic interests. Others include stories that linked Swift to country singer Tim McGraw and Robert Kennedy Jr., as well as saying she was marrying Connor Kennedy by the end of 2012 and that she was chasing after Justin Bieber.

It's pretty obvious that the last one is false, considering we probably all remember Taylor's face when her bestie Selena Gomez went to kiss Justin Bieber backstage at the Billboard Music Awards. Taylor stuck her tongue out in disgust, and the video went viral.

Taylor's love life is a hot topic among the public, and Swifties -- the name Taylor fansgive to themselves -- are not happy when people poke fun at it.

This week, an online retailer, Bad Kids Clothing, produced a shirt with the last names of the men who have been linked to Swift and many of whom she has dated. The shirt reads: "Jonas & Till & Lautner & Mayer & Gyllenhaal & Redmayne & Efron & Kennedy & Styles."

According to the owner of Bad Kids Clothing, Lex Houser, she has been confronted with an "attack of the Swifties," which included death threats and nine billion tweets, all demanding Bad Kids Clothing take the shirt off the shelves or they would burn the place to the ground.

Swifties called the shirt "extremely offensive."
