Keith Richards Age: 69-Year-Old Rolling Stones Rocker Falls Asleep And Misses Mick Jagger 70th Birthday Party In London

Keith Richards' age may be catching up with him. Richards was planning to attend Mick Jagger's 70th birthday party in London, but instead fell asleep and slept through the party.

Richards reportedly skipped the 70th birthday party of Rolling Stones band mate Mick Jagger after they played their gig at Hyde Park, London for their 50th anniversary tour.

Instead of going straight to the party, he walked back to his hotel suite, guided by personnel while wearing a dressing gown, scarf, and bandana around his head.

A source told The Sun: ''Keith was knackered. He went back to his hotel suite with the intention of getting ready to go to the party.

''But when he got in, he ended up going for a snooze. By the time he woke up there was no point going as he'd missed most of the action.''

Richards is 69 years old, and probably not as ready for a crazy birthday party as he once was. However, Keith has previously said he doesn't feel ready to slow down yet.

Contactmusic.com reports that Keith said: ''We know we're damn good and we have some weird desire to make it better.

''Everyone's still here, which is obviously an important ingredient. With any band that has been around, even for a few years, not everybody likes everybody all the time.

''But maybe you have a need for that conversation to continue, and music is the one way you can do that. It's stronger than the other things that get in the way.''

The rest of The Rolling Stones rockers partied at the Loulou private members club in Mayfair, but had all left by the relatively early time of 1.35am, The Daily Mail reports.

Mick Jagger looked dashing for his birthday bash, wearing a tailored maroon suit, crisp white shirt, and dark shoes. His partner, L'Wren Scott, 46, looked stunning in a patterned red dress, strappy red shoes and drop pendant earrings.

Other family members attended the exclusive party, including his children Jade, James, Elizabeth and Georgia May, and granddaughter Amba Jackson.
