American Idol Live 2013 just began and runner-up Angie Miller, who's part of the summer tour, looks back on her life a year ago, shared the International Business Times. The newly minted celebrity singer was reflecting on what the show has done for her life since she bravely faced the challenges each week on America’s most popular reality television program.

On June 24, 2012, Angie Miller was like many other Beverly girls trying to break into the music industry. She stood in line with thousands of other hopefuls trying to get a ticket to Hollywood. Angie overcame her hearing problems and met Ryan Seacrest, head judge Randy Jackson and the three new judges.

Angie tweeted, remembering the day that changed her life forever: “Wow, a year ago today I auditioned for @AmericanIdol… #crazy.”

Angie is considered to be one of the most popular and favorite runner up in the history of Idol because of her level of talent and star power. Her fans were in shock when the Top Three Finals brought Angie’s elimination. She couldn’t fight back tears as she sang her last song of the Idol stage. America had spoken and she had to go home.

Angie left the Idol stage that day, but didn’t end her journey there. Her first single was launched on the Idol finale, a rare occurrence for the American Idol contenders. Angie’s songs continue to do well on iTunes as she proves to the world that she will do her music just as she said she would if she didn’t win Idol.

On June 23, Angie tweeted to her fans asking if she should post some lyrics to a new song she was working on. Her fans quickly responded, showing her their support. She tweeted: “It’s my passion I believe in, tell me you can hear I, I want you to need it!!!” and “It’s time to break the glass and all that holds me back is gonna #Shatter!!”

No details about the release of her latest single as been provided yet, but it should launch in time for the American Idol Live Tour 2013 that begins in August.
