Amanda Bynes was hospitalized for a mental evaluation following an incident at retirement community outside of L.A. on Sunday and for what happened Monday when she allegedly started a fire when she had a gas tank in her hand on the driveway of some random house..

While going to reportedly visit a relative, the actress was denied access because the employees thought she was drunk. Eventually it led to the police being called and Amanda Bynes was hospitalized for a mental evaluation after the police arrived.

A rep for the Ventura County Sheriff's office told FOX411 that the staff attempting to call the 27-year-old a cab.

She hopped in it, but then walked right out back toward the retirement home because she had no money in her pocket. That's when police were called because she allegedly was trespassing and Amanda Bynes was hospitalized for a mental evaluation, known as a 5150.

"Amanda Bynes was involved in a disturbance in a residential neighborhood last night in Thousand Oaks in the 200-block of Avenida De Los Arboles. Deputies investigated the incident and determined that she met the criteria of 5150... She was detained and taken for a mental health evaluation," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

The 5150 hold, which can last for up to 72 hours, was brought on after Bynes started a small fire in the driveway of a home in Southern California, deputies said. When police approached the home, the homeowner had no relation to Bynes.

This adds to the quirky events that have been happening in the former "All That" star recently. Bynes appeared in a New York court on allegations that she chucked a marijuana bong out the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment.

She wore a wig in a courtroom. She's cut her hair and taking unique pictures and shared them on her Twitter account. Bynes has poked fun at certain celebrities as well.
