For those of you who blissfully remember the Partridge Family television show, starring Shirley Jones as the sweet, loving mother of the "Family," hold onto your hats. Mama Partridge's image is about to go to a deeper, darker place with this week's release of Jones' memoir. Did someone say "sexpot?" 

With such passages as, "At the height of The Partridge Family, now and again Jack (her husband in those years, actor Jack Cassidy) would pick me up from the studio in the car, then drive us into the garage adjacent to our house, where he would have intercourse with me in the backseat."

Yes, this is what the Partridge Family leader has come to, in 2013, at age 79. The still working actress figures there's no time like the present to finally get all of the deep, dirty, delicious secrets out there for her loving public. 

But, could this backfire on her. When you've played characters like the iconic Marion, the virginal librarian in The Music Man, your public may not adjust well to learning you were living the Hollywood high life all those years, and we mean high. 

The actress also details a crazy night in the late 1960s when the late Anthony Newley allegedly suggested Jones and her husband Jack wrap up a dinner party by getting naked and watching X-rated films with him and his then-wife Joan Collins, according to a report in the New York Daily News.

More unexpected was Mama Shirley revealing her stepson, David Cassidy, was extremely well-endowed in the penis department.

We're not sure of the last time we've heard a mother or step-mother delve into this particular department but we look forward to watching the public's reaction, and David's response. Evidently, David took after his father, Shirley's husband, Jack, in that area. 

You can never say Shirley didn't have her eyes wide open, can you?
