Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan Finally Made Up, Ending Five-Year Feud- Or So Bollywood Arch-Rivals Say: Watch VIDEO
Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have made up, perhaps. The two were seen hugging each other at political leader Baba Siddique's iftar party in Mumbai on Sunday evening.
Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Bollywood's biggest stars and arch-rivals, have now hugged and made up-maybe. The two superstar actors hadn't spoken since 2008.
Amidst the cheering iftaar party, the two actors shook hands and hugged.
All of the guests present at the party were shocked when Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan made peace.
Salman arrived to the party after Shah Rukh Khan, who was already there. But Salman went straight to the table where Shah Rukh was seated and greeted everyone.
Shah Rukh Khan, of course, stared at his food, looking visibly awkward and uncomfortable. Salman greeted everyone wand was about to leave....then he took a step back, came up from behind, and put his hand on SRK's shoulder.
The two embraced-they used to be best friends, and now they seem close again. They also posed for photos, along with everyone else at the party.
The two seemed to bury the hatchet. They hadn't spoken since a fight at Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif's birthday party back in 2008.
The host, Babba Siddiqui, even managed to get the two together in one frame, posing together.
Shah Rukh even spoke with with Salman's family. He chatted with Salmans's father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, for quite awhile. They talked about health, food, and films. Shah Rukh also spoke to Salman's brother Sohail Khan.
Many say that he congradulated SRK for his new surrogate child. Salim and Salmin also talked about Salman's hit-and-run case's hearing. That will take place soon, on the 24th of July. which is scheduled on 24th July.
Some guests were cynical, saying they had a "cold and awkward hug for the sake of shutter bugs"....but that's better than not speaking for five years.
Everyone who viewed the hug was excited and moved. Sports journalist Ayaz Memon tweeted "Saw Salman and Shah Rukh hug each other at Baba Siddique's Iftar party....had everbody cheering" right after the event.
