Although Benedict Cumberbatch is busy finishing season 3 filming of "Sherlock," he took the time to support marriage equality by marrying a same-sex male couple.

"It's a very private, lovely thing to be asked to do," Cumberbatch told the Sun of the ceremony in Ibiza.

"Of course I'm going to make a joke after it if it goes well - I do weddings. Next will be children's parties and bar mitzvahs!"

In addition to conducting the gay marriage ceremony, Cumberbatch was also caught kissing Russian model Katia Elizarova, who is believed to be his girlfriend.

According to The Huffington Post, the weeding took place on the White Isle on Saturday, which explained  why he wasn't at the San Diego Comic-Con.

In addition to taking some time away from filming "Sherlock," the 37-year-old Benedict Cumberbatch will be seen in "The Fifth Estate," "12 Years a Slave," and "August: Osage County."

As "Sherlock" prepares to finish season 3, the cast is confirmed to be back filming the end of this month for episode 3, but Benedict Cumberbatch couldn't help but reveal other good news.

"We've agreed to two more [series] but I could get into trouble for saying that," says Cumberbatch to Radio Times.

That means that "Sherlock" season 4 and 5 should return with Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as the leading characters.

"Sherlock" is set to return to filming at the end of this month. And with only episode 3 to go, hopefully the season 3 premiere will follow.
