Amanda Bynes Parents Reactions to Schizophrenia Report: They Seek Conservatorship After Daughter Gives Dog Gasoline Bath [Video]

The parents of Amanda Bynes are reacting to their daughter's strange behavior by seeking the conservatorship that they have been wanting for sometime now.

They have been trying to do this for the longest but did have enough proof to persuade officials that their daughter is not qualified to take care of herself and is a liability to the well-being of others. Well, that was until now.

After Amanda supposedly set an elderly woman's driveway on fire in Thousand Oaks, California, on Monday, her parents may now have enough evidence to convince the judge their daughter needs to be monitored.

A source told the New York Post that Bynes started the fire around 8:40 pm. on Monday. Driver, Andrew Liverpool, said he saw the starlet on the ground with her pants on fire.

“It’s dark, it’s 8:45 and I just see her laying down, stomach up and her pant legs on fire, a trail of, you know, fire and gas, and I pull over,” said witness Liverpool.

The Ventura County Captain, Scott Dettorre, told the publication about the evidence left behind at the scene of the vandalism.

“There were two burn marks, a plastic nozzle from a gas can — and a Super Soaker squirt gun.”

In another report, footage was released of the former Nickelodeon star trying to rinse of her pet Pomeranian in a liquor store just after dousing the dog during her driveway of fire masterpiece.

Amanda is currently place in 5159 psychiatric hold. Medical experts want her to stay an extra two weeks since they believe she can be exhibiting signs of schizophrenia.

Her pet dog is now in the custody of her parents. Amanda does not face any charges for the fire.
