Battlefield 4 Release Date: $30 Membership Fee? New Game Will Have Similar Price And Service Features, Developers Suggest

To activate an initial membership for premium service features of "Battlefield 4," users might have to pay a $30 fee, Electronic Arts suggests.

The premium service of "Battlefield 3" features all five downloadable content expansion packs in addition to exclusive in-game bonuses like dog tags, unique events and insider tips and will likely be similar in "Battlefield 4," Examiner reports.

But membership fees aren't the only thing gamers are buzzing about.

Battlefield 4 will be available for the Xbox 360 on October 29 and will feature players aiming to prevent a war between the United States and China.

The game follow Sergeant Daniel Recker, a member of Tombstone Squad who's been sent to China to try and extract several Chinese VIP's that are believed to be imminent danger following an apparent coup by high-ranking members of the Chinese military, according to the International Digital Times.

There are also rumors that DICE is considering a change in the Battlefield 4 multiplayer player cap, already up to 66 from the previous 64 to accommodate the return of Commander Mode, and the studio is purportedly testing multiplayer servers that could support 70+ players on/after the game's release date, the International Digital Times also reports.

Battlefield 4's October 29 release date prompted rumors that Sony would release the Playstation 4 on the same day, but the company has not confirmed speculation.
