Macworld 2014 Release Dates: Report Claims Retina MacBook Air Finally Getting Launched This Year, 12-13" iPad Pro Still In The Works

Macworld 2014 release dates: A lot of people were expecting the entire Macbook lineup to get Retina displays when they were launched last year. However, it was just the 13 and 15-inch Macbook Pro that got to screen resolution bump.

For those portable laptop fans, you can now start rejoicing as a report claims that the Macbook Air will finally don the Retina screen when the device launches later this year.

According to BGR, trusted news source DigiTimes reported that Apple's supply chains in Taiwan have confirmed that Retina displays for the Air lineup are already in the works, and should be ready in a couple of months for the assembly of the devices.

We are expecting a release date in June during Apple's event, or a separate event in July just like last year.

In addition, DigiTimes also claims that Apple is working on a fan-less 12-inch Macbook that would be thinner than the company's Pro lineup. The iPad Pro, which has recently been thought to be discontinued is allegedly under development as well.

It looks like Apple is indeed setting up a big bag at the latter part of the year as noted in CEO Tim Cook's letter to his employees at the end of 2013.

We will certainly bring you more fresh details and developments on upcoming Apple products for 2014 as soon as they surface.
