Upcoming Asus Phones 2014: PadFone X Full Specs Revealed, Boasts 5" 1080p Display, Quad-Core CPU, Snapdragon 800, 2GB RAM, Tablet Dock Packs 4,990mAh Battery
Upcoming Asus phones 2014: If you are a fan of smartphone-tablet hybrids, then the PadFone X could be the perfect device for you. And a new report tells us that AT&T has spilled the spec sheet of the upcoming device, which means it would launch sooner rather than later.
According to a report by Android Community, the US carrier has released the specifications for the new device, which will hit its online and brick-and-mortar stores soon.
Announced a couple of months back, the PadFone X is by all means a high-end device, if it were launched in December. However, in just a couple of months, Snapdragon 800 is already outdated thanks to the slightly faster 801 edition, and Full HD (1920 x 1080) is not the top resolution anymore (the Oppo Find 7 has QHD (2560 x 1440).
Still, the Asus PadFone X packs a punch especially if you are the type who is always on the go. The Android-powered device packs a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, 5-inch screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, and 2,300mAh of battery.
Meanwhile, its tablet dock gets a Full HD screen as well measuring 9 inches, which is pretty staple in the tablet category. It packs an additional 4,990mAh battery to keep you company throughout the day.
Unfortunately, AT&T did not disclose pricing and availability details, though we'll make sure to bring those details to you as soon as they become available.
