Greys Anatomy Review: Christina Yang's Bufferfly Effect [VIDEO] Two Different Futures With Owen Turn The ABC Show Into A Beautiful Movie

Greys Anatomy review: Episode 17 played out more like the movie 'Sliding Doors' than anything actually occurring. And I must admit, I loved it. After season 10 of Greys has been dull and obvious, repeating the same storylines, this episode of Greys Anatomy was unexpected and gave me chills.

Greys Anatomy has been going downhill as we all know. It feels like the episodes move along by the background music, either light and staccato when we are supposed to find the characters and situations humorous, while the dark gritty noise anticipates something interesting is going to happen. After 10 season of Greys Anatomy, how dumb do the writers think we are? But episode 17 regained be as a viewer when I was just about to cancel my Thursday night DVR on ABC.

The Greys Anatomy episode was all about Christina Yang's future and how life is like the Butterfly effect. One little change on the planet can sway your entire life. Christina's life wavered between how her life would play out if one of her patients decided to live or if he opted for dying. In the latter situation Christina would be with Owen for life, but Yang would be miserable giving up her life to her children and resenting Owen for turning her into the woman she always decided not be become.

The other Christina goes on to live her life without Owen and Christina thrives. Yet, Owen does not, acquiring a drinking problem and ultimately losing his job due to the sadness of losing Yang.

The path that Yang takes is not known yet because just as she is going to decide to be with Owen, another Butterfly effect occurs, this time with Meredith Grey asking Christina for help, ultimately changing the course of Christina's life.

The little futuristic details were a little cheesy. The clear phones, gray streaks in hair, and futuristic scrubs all felt forced, but I still didn't mind the creativity.

I loved this episode but many viewers feel differently. In an TV show where nothing really new happens, why not have a unbelievably written episode thrown in that focuses on one character that we have followed for years?
