Upcoming ZTE Phones 2014: New High-End Device Could Be First Smartphone To Boast 4GB RAM, Grand S II Specs Include 5.5" Display, Quad-Core CPU, 13MP Or 8MP Shooter

Upcoming ZTE phones 2014: Announced during the CES event in Las Vegas in January, the Grand S II from ZTE is already considered a high-end device with its listed specs. However, it looks like the Chinese manufacturer had a change of heart and decided to alter a few bits of the device's spec list.

And in a leaked document, it reportedly increased the RAM from 2 up to 4.

According to a report by Android Authority, Chinese certification website Tenaa recently allowed the ZTE smartphone to pass its criteria in order to be officially released in the country's massive mobile market.

But instead of seeing what we all know to be a 2GB RAM, the Grand S II gets 4GB instead. If this is indeed the case, then the ZTE handset will be the world's first smartphone that runs on 4GB of RAM.

While we certainly cannot compare its other specs to flagship devices from other OEMs, its 4GB of RAM will definitely boost its processing power and multi-tasking capabilities.

Another difference between the Tenaa document and the listed specs of the Grand S II during its CES announcement is the smaller 8MP rear camera, whereas it was first advertized to get a 13MP snapper.

Other specs of the device include a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, Snapdragon 800 chipset, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 3,000mAh battery.

So, are you interested in buying the world's first 4GB RAM-powered smartphone?
