Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date: 4.4.3 Update Changelog Leaked, May Arrive First To Nexus Devices In Coming Weeks, Includes Fixes For Camera, Power Manager, Connectivity, Other Apps

Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date: In the past week, we have read reports that alleged builds of the upcoming Android Kitkat update have been tested in several Nexus devices. Now, a new report lists down the changelog for version 4.4.3.

According to a report by Android Police, Twitter user and known leaker @LlabTooFeR, together with some build and software sources from all over the Web, listed down some of the alleged changelogs for the new Android update for KitKat.

In the report, update 4.4.3 is said to be primarily a bug-squashing update for the platform, due to the number of bugs and problems which have plague Kitkat users, particularly Nexus owners, in the past months.

Android Police listed down the changes that will come with the update:

  • frequent data connection dropout fix
  • mm-qcamera-daemon crash and optimization fixes
  • camera focus in regular and HDR modes fixes
  • Power Manager display wakelock fix
  • multiple Bluetooth fixes
  • fix for a random reboot
  • app shortcuts sometimes got removed from launcher after update
  • USB debugging security fix
  • app shortcuts security fix
  • Wi-Fi auto-connect fix
  • other camera fixes
  • MMS, Email/Exchange, Calendar, People/Dialer/Contacts, DSP, IPv6, VPN fixes
  • stuck in activation screen fix
  • missed call LED fix
  • subtitle fixes
  • data usage graph fix
  • Internet telephony fix
  • FCC compliance fix
  • miscellaneous fixes

Still, we don't recommend you to see this list as the final changelog for update 4.4.3 as there may be other changes, concerns and issues which Google want to address in the coming Kitkat update.

In the report, here's a screenshot of a Nexus 5 running on the latest Android 4.4.3 build.

So hopefully, Google will finally find a solution to some major bugs in Android Kitkat, particularly in Nexus devices.
