Retina Macbook Air 2014: Rumored 12" Model Will Have Fanless Frame And Retina Display, Could Notch A New Record In Laptop Thinness

Retina Macbook Air 2014: Apple's Macbook Air is one of the company's most priced lineup due to the portability it provides its users. However, after six years of existence and being improved, consumers are expecting more from the ultra-thin laptop.

And in a new report, they may be getting the answer to their prayers.

According to a report by DigiTimes, Apple is already working on a 12-inch version of the Macbook 11 which may be released during the latter part of the year.

Rumors are also circulating all over the Web that Macbook lineup will finally get the Retina display. Unfortunately, the display may not arrive either the 11 or 13-inch models, but the upcoming 12-inch version in between them.

While there are no reports to back this claim, it would be the practical move for Apple to order Retina displays which have the same size (12 inches) rather than two versions (11 and 13 inches).

Previous reports are also pointing to a fanless body for the 12-inch Macbook Air Retina. If this tells us anything about the device, it would be a thinner laptop than the current Macbook Air models, which is mind-blowing to even consider.

But without a fan, Apple cannot expect to provide a much faster performance than previous generation models. But with a bigger screen, aspect ratio, higher resolution, and an improved track pad, the 12-inch Macbook Air Retina could be another selling beast for the Cupertino company.

So are you looking for the Retina Macbook Air launch date?
