Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Xiaomi Has Done It Again, Sells 100K Redmi Note Phones In 34 Minutes, Specs Include 5.5" Display, Octa-Core Chipset, 2GB RAM, 13MP Shooter

Upcoming Android phones 2014: Remember the Chinese manufacturer who managed to sell 100k smartphones in just 4 minutes? It has done it again.

While the company managed a longer time frame to sell 100k units, it is still quite impressive to continue getting such response from consumers.

According to a report by GSM Arena, Chinese phone maker Xiaomi sold 100k of its fresh Redmi Note smartphone in just 34 minutes.

Priced at only 999 Yuan or just $161, the Redmi Note is certainly a cheap smartphone which is perfect for the budget-conscious Chinese market. But what does it have to offer with that price range?

Well, you would be surprised to find out that the Xiaomi phone can easily pass flagship status a year ago, except for the HD (1280 x 720) resolution, but that's completely understandable.

Other specs of the device include a 5.5-inch display, octa-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel shooter at the back. There is also a 16GB internal memory, a fairly capable 3,200mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

If you are in China and you still cannot afford the Redmi Note, there is a cheaper version that only costs $129 or 799 Yuan. It packs the same display, an 1.4GHz octa-core chip, 8GB of internal memory and only 1GB of RAM.
