Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: WP 8.1-Powered ATIV SE And Other Windows Handsets Expected To Be Launched On April 23, Samsung Device Specs Include 5" Display, Galaxy S4 Design

Upcoming Samsung phones 2014: Samsung has already released a handful of Android smartphones this year, but it looks like the Korean manufacturer is also planning to launch another phone, this time powered by the new Windows Phone 8.1.

According to a report by TechnoBuffalo, sources of WP Central claim that Windows Phone 8.1-powered smartphones would make their respective debuts on April 23.

In the report, developers have allegedly received the final software build for the device on March 26, and given just the right amount of time to develop apps optimized for the WP 8.1 version when it is launched via OTA or in new smartphones.

As for the Samsung ATIV SE, the smartphone has already appeared in a number of leaks, and even surfaced on the FCC certification list.

At the moment, we don't know much about the Windows Phone-powered Samsung smartphone except for the 5-inch screen, connectivity options such as LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, dual band Wi-Fi, and global 3G connectivity. If you look at the rumored image, the ATIV SE's design may be highly inspired by the Galaxy S4.

Microsoft's BUILD Conference is on Wednesday, and by then we would be able to take a closer look at how the company improved its mobile platform.
